1. Maldives

2. Japan

Japan is a country where the fast paced modernity of the booming cities will excite you, but at the same time you wouldn’t have to venture too far away to experience the laid back atmosphere in towns that have retained their old world charm! Japan lies to the east of mainland Asia and consists of almost 7000 islands! You could visit the futuristic cities of Tokyo and Yokohama to get lost amidst skyscrapers and experience the happening nightlife of Japan or head over to Kyoto and Nara for travelling back in time to old world Japan. The best time to visit Japan would most definitely be when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom making the country look even more beautiful than it already is with its picturesque landscapes and alluring scenery!

Where rice terraces meet the blue beaches meet the stunning waterfalls! The second most populous country right after China is India, which is a melting pot of religion, culture and customs! A land of festivals, colors, spices, astounding natural beauty, historical monuments, stunning palaces and buzzing metropolitan cities. 5. Bhutan

Bhutan – The Land of the Thunder Dragon. Can you think of any other country in this world that has a more dramatic introduction? We guess not! To add on to the drama, Bhutan is a tiny country nestled high up in the Himalayas, providing breathtaking views of the majestic Mt. 6. Philippines

Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage as the name suggests is home to almost 100 elephants. Around two every afternoon the elephants are brought to the river “Ma Oya” for a bath. It is quite a sight to see all these beautiful animals frolicking in the river. The photo was taken in July 2018 on our latest trip to Sri Lanka. 9. Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka is a great country that has countless beautiful sights! Set in the Indian Ocean just off the south of India, this is a country of contrasts and surprises. From the lush green tea plantations of the hill country through to the much warmer and blissfully peaceful beaches of the south and old forts, impressive archaeological sites, and wildlife safaris, makes Sri Lanka a country that you cannot miss! 10. Uzbekistan

Beautifully-tiled mosques, delicious food, and some of the friendliest and most welcoming people you will ever meet- welcome to Uzbekistan! The overall aesthetic of this country, if you could say so could be described as minimalist with a pop of color! To break the monotony of the brownish structures; the turrets, arches and the domes are tiled with vibrant colors and the palaces seem like a bride laden with jewels dressed for her wedding! This undiscovered gem of Central Asia has a rich history due to its location on the legendary Silk Road. The great blend of the old and the new is a pleasant touch to the country and makes it another country in Asia that you must visit!
