1.     Digha Beach

A weekend away at beach, soaking in the sun is sometimes all you need to refresh and reset! Spend your weekend at the slow and laid back Digha Beach Town, about 183 kms away from the city. Lie on the beach and listen to the sound of the waves hitting the shore or take part in the different water sports available at the beach!

2.     Sundarbans

About 110 km away from the city, lays the Sundarbans, which is a wide delta of dense mangrove forests and also a UNESCO World Heritage site! If you’re a wildlife enthusiast this is the place for you! Spend your mornings in different watch towers in the area to spot the majestic Royal Bengal Tigers and definitely visit the Sundarban National Park! Being surrounded by Biharinath and Susunia Hills you can go trekking, hiking and even paragliding! Head over to Jhilimili watch tower to spot wild elephants or visit the terracotta temples of Bishnupur especially the beautiful Gokulchand Temple and the architecturally stunning temples in nearby Hadal-Narayanpur village! You could even visit the serene Mukutmanipur Dam for some stunning views!

5. Darjeeling

If you have a long weekend lined up then book your tickets to visit the beautiful hill station of Darjeeling! Waking up to mesmerizing sunrises over lush tea plantations, acres of untouched verdant hills and the welcoming smiles of the locals is what you would find in this beautiful hilly town of Darjeeling. There is just so much to do in Darjeeling - starting with river rafting in Teesta River to trekking up to Sandakphu Peak, or take a toy train ride to enjoy the panoramic views of the lush hills. You could take a stroll through one of the tea plantations or visit the Zang Dhok Palri Phodang monastery and the Peace Pagoda!
